What are DVD Replication and CD Pressing?

DVD duplication implies that the original data is molded and transferred exactly in the same form into a DVD. It is mostly used for manufacturing high volume of DVDs anything above 500. Mass production of DVD cuts down the cost and makes it very cost effective. The technique used for replication of DVD is glass master. The room where a glass master is created has to be made dust and smoke free, else the master is affected.

CD Pressing means manufacturing of CD from the original source without distorting data. There are commonly two ways by which a CD can be pressed. The first method is stamper created by glass master and second is the simple art of burning of CD from the source data. The two methods of CD burning are formerly known as CD Replication and CD Duplication.

The manufacturing of CD and DVD are done in the Pressing Plant which is free of dust and smoke. For mass production of CDs and DVDs, time and expertise of a professional is required. The replicated DVD and CD are the non-readable and non-rewritable discs. Nobody can damage the pressed data and they can be played in any type of CD and DVD players and do not have any restriction. They have longevity too.
